Psychometric Profiling
Pursuit NHA works with Insights, SHL and OPP to provide psychometric profiling services.
Insights
The Insights suite of products include Insights Discovery, Insights Explore and The Self Aware Leader.
These psychometric tools are invaluable for:
- Self-understanding
- Organisational design
- Leadership development
- Effective teamwork
- Development of selling skills
Having established the reason for using the Insights tool participants complete a questionnaire from which an overall personal profile is produced. This forms the basis for personal coaching or team development.
Insights is a preference based system with its foundations in the work of Carl Jung. As its entry point, Insights learning system identifies four colour energies – Fiery Red, Sunshine Yellow, Earth Green and Cool Blue – and presents these on a wheel – the Insights Wheel:

SHL
Pursuit NHA are an SHL premium reseller. They have an extensive suite of ability tests and an excellent trait test, the Occupational Personality Questionnaire (OPQ) which measures 32 aspects of an individual’s personality.
The relationship between good reasoning ability and success in senior posts is highly correlated. The SHL ability tests include:
Verbal Reasoning
Numerical Reasoning
Deductive Reasoning
Spatial Ability
And can be used measuring an individual against a nominated group e.g. Managerial/Professional, Supervisory.
The OPQ measures are grouped into relationship thinking style and emotional characteristics. These are then divided into 8 sub-categories:

OPP
OPP is the platform to administer the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and 16 Personality Factors.
Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI): This is based on Carl Jung's theory of psychological types. It categorizes individuals into one of 16 personality types based on four dichotomies: extraversion/introversion, sensing/intuition, thinking/feeling, and judging/perceiving. These types provide insights into how individuals perceive the world, make decisions, and interact with others. The MBTI assessment provides a single four-letter type code, such as INFJ or ESTP, which represents the individual's preferences across the four dichotomies.
16 Personality Factors (16PF): This is based on the trait theory of personality. It measures 16 primary personality factors, such as warmth, reasoning, emotional stability, dominance, and sensitivity. These factors are used to create a comprehensive profile of an individual's personality, providing a detailed understanding of their strengths, weaknesses, and behavioral tendencies. The 16PF assessment provides scores on each of the 16 personality factors, allowing for a nuanced understanding of an individual's personality.

Each person uses these colour energies to varying degrees, though it is the unique ordering of the energies that will shape personal style, and it will show a preference for one colour that will indicate the dominant or preferred style of thinking, working and communicating.
